The Educate Before Eight Program
The Educate Before Eight® Program is a neuroscience-based prevention program designed for children ages 3–8 and implemented in schools to build lifelong protection through early brain-based prevention.
What Is Educate Before Eight?
Educate Before Eight is an early childhood prevention program designed for Pre-K through third grade.
It teaches children the foundational life skills that protect them long before crisis begins, including:
- emotional regulation
- body autonomy
- self-worth and identity
- healthy boundaries
- peer pressure awareness
- refusal skills
- trusted-help seeking
Through engaging, story-based lessons, Educate Before Eight helps children build inner safety, confidence, and resilience during the most impressionable years of brain development.
Instead of waiting for problems to appear, the program equips children with emotional tools and decision-making skills that support lifelong wellbeing.
Why Before Eight?
The most impressionable years of brain development happen early.
During childhood — especially before age eight — the brain is forming identity, emotional habits, coping patterns, and beliefs about oneself and the world.
This is when children are most open to learning the skills that shape lifelong behavior.
Educate Before Eight was created specifically to reach children during this critical window — not after harm occurs, but before it does.
Prevention works best when it begins early.
What Makes Educate Before Eight Different?
Educate Before Eight goes beyond traditional classroom behavior support.
It is designed to build protective architecture early by teaching children how to:
- regulate emotions
- use their voice
- understand body boundaries
- resist unhealthy influence
- say no with confidence
- ask for help when something feels unsafe
This is not fear-based prevention.
It is connection-based, skill-based, and developmentally aligned prevention that strengthens the emotional foundation children carry with them throughout life.
