You Are Their First Line of Defense

Helping You Raise Brave, Kind, and Resilient Kids — When It Matters Most

Before age eight, a child’s brain is forming the beliefs, habits, and emotional patterns that shape a lifetime. You already know how quickly the world is changing — and how early our kids are being influenced by messages they don’t yet understand.

That’s why we’re here. To walk alongside you during the most important window of your child’s development — before age eight — when identity is forming, values are taking root, and the brain is open to lasting learning.

You are not alone. And you’re not powerless. In fact, you’re the greatest line of defense your child will ever have.

Why Before Age Eight?

Because These Years Shape a Lifetime

At Educate Before Eight®, we believe parents are the first and most powerful teachers a child will ever have.

What You Can Do Now

Protecting Your Child Starts with One Small Action

You don’t have to be an expert. You just have to be willing to start the conversation.

Here’s how:

  • Ask your child’s school if they’re using Educate Before Eight.
  •  If not, encourage them to learn more and become proactive in protecting their students through early prevention for Pre-K through third grade — because what we teach before age eight doesn’t just protect kids now, it protects them for life.
  • Consider sponsoring a classroom or grade level. At roughly $3 per student per year, it’s one of the most affordable ways to strengthen early prevention.

And remember — the more children who learn these values early, the less pressure your child will face later on. Prevention is community-wide.

Subject: Request to Consider Educate Before Eight for Our School

Dear [Principal’s Name or School Administrator],

As a parent, I’m reaching out because I care deeply about the well-being of our children — not just today, but for the future they’re growing into.

I recently learned about a program called Educate Before Eight, and I wanted to share it with you. It’s a nationally emerging initiative that focuses on teaching children — between the ages of 4 and 8 — how to build emotional strength, make healthy choices, recognize unsafe situations, refuse drugs, and protect their growing brains from harm.

What makes this program different is when it begins. Research shows that a child’s brain is most impressionable before age eight — and this is when their identity, values, and habits take root. By introducing safety, refusal, and resilience skills early, we have a much better chance of protecting them for life.

Educate Before Eight offers:
• Story-based lessons for Pre-K through 3rd grade
• Tools that teach self-worth, boundaries, and confidence
• Activities that help families and teachers reinforce positive choices
• A science-backed approach that costs around $3 per student per year

I believe our school would benefit from exploring this program — not only for what it prevents, but for what it builds: strong minds, kind hearts, and safe environments.

Would you consider reviewing it and seeing if it’s something we can bring to our classrooms?

Thank you for all you do to protect and support our children.
